The idea of religion has changed greatly over the course of Spain's history. This story follows the narrative of Diana Suarez and her experience with religion.
Diana Suarez walks the streets of León, Spain, searching for holiday gifts on Nov. 25, 2018. Suarez has lived in León for most of her life and teaches French in the city. Gordo enjoys cooking for her family and friends when they come to visit at her apartment in León. Gordo and Suarez have been friends since childhood. | On Nov, 25, 2018, Suarez and Gordo reminisce on pictures from their First Communion in a village outside of León. The girls were always close despite their different religious beliefs. Suarez celebrated her communion as a part of Spanish culture, not as a religious practice. |
